Your First Peek at Community's Claymation Christmas Special

Here's your first look at the upcoming claymation Community Christmas special. Here's the official synopsis:

When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed’s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed’s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness.

So there's really no way this will be bad, right? [via]

I loved this show from the beginning, but I think it really hit it's stride with the "theme episodes." It never comes off as too gimmicky, and I think it was a smart idea, because the "self-absorbed asshole learning a lesson" couldn't carry a show for too long. I think Joel McHale is hilarious, but I do like the show better now that it feels as though he is just "one of the cast" as opposed to him being the only lead.

I love you, Community. I hope there's an excuse to show a 'claymated' diorama in that episode as well.
