Community's New Biology Teacher: The Wire's Omar

Michael K. William's Omar from The Wire is one of the all-time greatest TV characters, one full of complexity, somehow equally sympathetic and terrifying. And now he'll be teaching the students of Greendale Community College biology, naturally. Of course, he won't be playing a normal biology teacher, instead portraying an ex-con who's using his prison-earned degree to teach the ways of life. He'll be staying on for at least three episodes, and with the first episode of the season entitled "Biology 101," we won't have to wait too long into the season to meet him. Indeed.

    Love Thisss! I won't say I trolled the internet for Comic Con clips for any significant amount of time yesterday, but when I came across this video announcement from the Community panel, I was VERY excited.

    All the news about season 3 sounds kind of amazing.

    Never seen The Wire (due to a mini-protest against HBO for not streaming shows no longer on TV), but I might need to catch up on this, if only to get the jokes for these episodes (though I hear The Wire is pretty good in its own right).
