‘SNL’ to Do Two Primetime Election Specials
NBC announced today that SNL will produce two Thursday night primetime election specials. Airing on September 20 and 27, the specials will run from 8:00-8:30. This explains why 30 Rock was the only Thursday comedy set to premiere in October. The 2008 election specials were HUGE, bringing in nearly 9 million viewers, so the move was a no-brainer for NBC and SNL. Now we just need to hope that Mitt chooses Sarah Palin or someone as silly as Sarah Palin as his running mate.
