John Oliver Performs the State of the Union As a Coach's Halftime Speech

The best part of this video, other than all the other best parts, is Jimmy half-acting in background. He wavers between fake inspired faces and the blank slate that is customary for late night hosts. It made his "USA! USA! USA!" chant seem almost genuine. It also begged the question: "Why don’t we have more British people give our film and television halftime speeches?" Maybe he'd play a British soccer coach that some midwestern football coach met on a cruise and decided to bring in for some English riling up. Below watch John tell a "Mitt Romney walks into a diner" joke.

One of my favorite games is, whenever there are two people on screen, always look at the person not talking. It's pretty funny watching them try to actively look engaged, especially in entertainment reporting.
