'21 & Over' Is the Latest Movie to Ask "What If 'The Hangover' Were About Young People?"

Here's the trailer for 21 & Over, a new comedy written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It's the first movie the duo has directed, but they also wrote (the original draft of) The Hangover, The Change-Up, and, um, Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past. The story follows a trio of college kids out celebrating their most responsible members' 21st birthday right before his medical school entrance exam. It's like The Hangover, but with young people. Or like Project X or Superbad but with slightly older people (and more vomit and racism).

Oh, you guys, this movie is terrible. I saw a screener of it this summer, and granted, maybe they've done some heavy editing since then, but it was so bad. The $1 bin at Wal-Mart version of the Hangover. Basically no character ever makes a decision the way an actual human being would, the jokes are awful, and they appear to live in some kind of post-apocalyptic world where there are no laws. I can't get those two hours of my life back, but you can.
