Finally, Stephen Colbert Gets a Wax Museum Statue
Respected journalist Stephen Colbert is finally being given the wax museum treatment, one of the big signs that you’ve “made it” in the entertainment industry. Colbert’s wax double was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Washington, D.C. Friday, along with a full-sized replica of the Colbert Report set. Stephen Colbert, the real one made of flesh and bone, not the wax one, was present for the unveiling of his wax doppelganger, petting and licking the statue like the class act he is while rattling off jokes. To make room for the Colbert event, the Dan Rather wax dummy was temporarily moved into the gift shop, the latest evidence that fake news is now more respected than real news.
