The Vine 5 Film Festival: Lemon Party

Vine is the cool new toy from Twitter that challenges users to make the most profound work ever committed to video in exactly six seconds. Or at the very least, challenges the masses to bring a little more laughter into this world. On Tuesdays we'll be screening five of the funniest shorts of the past week, until Vine is abandoned for the next new thing.

"Behind the Scenes" with Tess Rafferty
By James Urbaniak

Right now James Urbaniak and Steve Agee are battling it out for Vine supremacy. Like the competition between John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the battle is bringing out the creative best in both of them, making the world a happier place to live in. Unless of course you are the poor actress Urbaniak hired that is trying to learn Vine acting on the fly.

To keep the flimsy analogy going: Adam Goldberg is George Harrison, being kind of weird but unquestionably innovative, and Will Sasso is Billy Preston, bringing the other three together by spitting out lemons and starting Vine's first meme. Nobody is Ringo.

"PSA"
By Shawn Pearlman

Shawn Pearlman is not afraid to be funny *and* introduce the truth.

"Parents Visit"
By Matt Braugher

Parents just don't understand, except they do, but you don't listen because they messed you up good, so you drink to party and you party to ignore you are alone without your parents, who keep you from drinking shirtless because they didn't hug you enough. Matt Braugher understands this.

"Dinner Party"
By Eli Terry

It isn't safe to eat food anywhere outside of your house because you might get Aliend. But what else did you expect from a party hosted by a man who doesn't wear clothes and is sleeping with your significant other?

"How Pink is My Phone?"
By Tim Martin

In this PSA, Tim Martin alerts the public that even an incredibly pink telephone such as his own still gets better reception than a banana phone, and can be just as effective of a comedy prop.
