Watch Patton Oswalt Improvise an 8-Minute 'Star Wars' Filibuster for 'Parks and Rec'

NBC released this video today of an outtake from comedian Patton Oswalt's upcoming guest appearance on Parks and Recreation. Oswalt is playing a guy trying to filibuster a city council vote, and the Parks producers asked him to improvise a speech, rambling about whatever he wants. So, here he is talking nonstop about his ideal Star Wars sequel for 8 minutes in one continuous take.

The best filibuster since that old guy in that black and white movie or whatever.

Um, excuse me sir, but the X-Men's plane is the Blackbird—the Avengers fly a Quinjet. If you can't get that simple fact correct, why should I seriously consider any of your ideas for local government?

This was surprisingly entertaining despite that I didn't know half of what he was talking about -lol! I was actually told that I should check this video out before I left my office at DISH today, and I'm glad I did because Patton Oswalt is one funny guy. I did a search of his name on DISH's Blockbuster @Home, and I found several of his movies and stand-up videos. They have over 100,000 titles so I was easily able to add Oswalt's work to my queue, and now all I have to do is sit back and wait for them to be delivered.
