Universal Orlando Is Building a Mini-Version of 'The Simpsons' Springfield

Theme park Universal Orlando announced this week that they're expanding to feature a mini-version of the Simpsons' town Springfield. Building around the park's existing Simpsons Ride, the Springfield replica will be open to the public sometime this summer. It will feature a new ride, "Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl," and several restaurants, including Krusty Burger, the Frying Dutchman, Luigi's Pizza, Lard Lad Donuts, the Bumblee Man's "Taco Fresho," and Moe's Tavern. The area will also feature a Kwik-E-Mart, a Jebediah Springfield statue, the comic book shop, and a Duff bar serving Duff beer that's brewed exclusively for the park. People in Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob suits will be walking around, as well.

People in Sideshow Bob suits will be walking around!? Sounds simply terrifying!

Not as terrifying as if they did a Family Guy theme park. There they'd probably have midgets in baby costumes running around assaulting or murdering lookalikes of female celebrities, and octogenarian pedophiles operating the kiddie rides.
