‘Drunk History’ Will Premiere on Comedy Central July 9th

The hit Funny or Die web series Drunk History is set to debut as a TV show next month. Comedy Central announced today that the TV version of Drunk History will debut Tuesday, July 9th, at 10. The web series, created by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, featured drunk comedians retelling historical events to the best of their abilities with footage of famous actors reenacting those events spliced in. The TV show’s eight-episode first season will follow Derek Waters as he travels from town to town each week with more great actors reenacting historical events. Will Ferrell, Don Cheadle, Jim Carrey, Ryan Gosling, Jack Black, Zooey Deschanel, John C. Reilly, Michael Cera, and Danny McBride are some of the actors who have done the web series in the past. Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy, and Owen Burke are executive producing the show via their company Gary Sanchez.

Comedy Central also announced today that The Jeselnik Offensive will return for its second season July 9th at 10:30 and that John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show will premiere its fourth season, which features Paul F. Tompkins, James Adomian, and other people, on Friday, July 26th at 11.
