Jason Sudeikis Confirms That He's Leaving 'SNL'

It's official: Jason Sudeikis is leaving SNL. It's been assumed that he wouldn't be returning to the show — his upcoming movie schedule basically makes it impossible — but he confirmed his exit to Letterman in an interview that will air tonight. Sudeikis was on staff at SNL for ten years, spending his first two as a writer and the next eight in the cast. His departure follows that of Bill Hader and Fred Armisen; looks like there are gonna be some new faces in 8H next season.

His unique brand of Maine justice will be missed.

      Nope that's dumb.

What is this, the early 90s?

Sudeikis, Hader, & Armisen will be missed, but the show will be just fine. The female cast is incredibly strong, Moynihan is ready to bust out huge, Taran Killam is as solid as they come, Pharoah's ready to go beyond Obama, and Robinson can have a break-out year. And Keenan.

"The female cast is incredibly strong" What an unfounded statement. Between Wig and Elliot there have been hardly any room for the current female cast to shine (not to mention 3 of them have only been their for 1-2 years). I think what really heart SNL was when Jenny Slate was fired. She on the other hand would be the best one of the bunch if it wasn't for that F bomb.

I'm going to miss Sudeikis and Hader (and Armisen!) a lot. Not a lot left.
