Tina Fey Is Developing a College Comedy, and There’s a Bidding War Between NBC and Fox for It
Just yesterday, we reported that Tina Fey sold a new workplace comedy to NBC, but it turns out that’s not the only sitcom project she’s working on. THR reports that a new comedy project from Fey and her 30 Rock cohorts Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock “has ignited a highly competitive bidding war.” NBC, Fox, and others are said to be interested in the show, which follows an all-womens college that just opened its doors to men for the first time. Hubbard is scripting the pilot, while Fey and Carlock are serving as producers. The project is the second to come from Tina Fey’s four-year deal with Universal TV, following the workplace show that was announced yesterday.
