IFC and Earwolf Are Developing A New TV Show Starring James Adomian as Multiple Characters

In addition to announcing a Garfunkel and Oates TV series this morning, IFC also released info on a new TV project co-created by and starring James Adomian, produced by the new TV wing of Scott Aukerman and Jeff Ullrich's podcast network Earwolf. Called The Embassy, the potential series is being written by Adomian and Aukerman and it's set in the Washington, D.C. embassy of a fictional country called Costa Verde, following a hacktivist who's trying to be granted asylum. Adomian, who's best known for his excellent character work on Aukerman's podcast Comedy Bang Bang, Childrens Hospital, and his IFC web show Maron in Space, will play multiple characters on The Embassy.

As we reported earlier this year, podcast giant Earwolf, the network that hosts Comedy Bang Bang, Paul Scheer's How Did This Get Made?, and more, is expanding into TV production and development. The Embassy is the first announced TV project from Earwolf. IFC has signed a first-look deal with Earwolf Productions, and Earwolf will be developing both podcasts and original ideas for the network.
