Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Cameos Are Planned for ‘Better Call Saul’
Creator Vince Gilligan shared some new info about Breaking Bad‘s upcoming spinoff/prequel, tentatively titled Better Call Saul, in a Hollywood Reporter profile today. Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, in addition to other Breaking Bad actors, have expressed interest in making cameos in the new show, which will be centered on Bob Odenkirk’s sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman. Gilligan says he intends to make this happen: “Personally, I’d have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then.”
The Gilligan profile also mentions that the one-hour Saul Goodman spinoff will be 75 percent comedic and 25 percent dramatic, and that they’re aiming to start airing it sometime between August and October of 2014.
