Justin Long Cast in Fox’s Comedy Pilot ‘Sober Companion’

Justin Long is taking his first regular TV job in over a decade. He’s been cast as the lead in Sober Companion, a new Fox pilot, TV Line reports. Created by David S. Rosenthal (The Middle, 90210) and Jennie Snyder Urman (90210), Sober Companion is a single-camera sitcom that follows a self-destructive attorney who is given a court-appointed sober companion (played by Long), an eccentric upbeat guy named Jeremy. If Sober Companion gets ordered to series, it’ll be the first series regular role Justin Long, who ┬árecently recurred on New Girl and CBS’s Mom, has had since NBC’s Ed went off the air in 2004.
