Amazon Studios Orders 'Mozart in the Jungle' and 'Transparent' to Series

Last month, Amazon Studios added 10 new pilots to its original slate including three comedies, and Variety reports that two have officially been picked up to series following a test round with online views and feedback. Both Mozart in the Jungle (co-created by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Alex Timbers) and Transparent (written and directed by Jill Soloway) will join two drama pilots (Bosch, The After) as the online studio's newest greenlit projects.
