‘The Simpsons’ Debuts a New Character in Video Game ‘Tapped Out’

According to Slash Film, The Simpsons recently debuted a brand new character not on television but through the video game The Simpsons Tapped Out. Named Chester Dupree, the character is the “unemployed slacker brother-in-law to everyone’s favorite laughing doctor Julius Hibbert” and was briefly mentioned in the 2012 Simpsons episode “Gone Abie Gone,” though he never appeared onscreen. It’s not clear whether Chester will show up on the TV version of The Simpsons, though several months back Tapped Out debuted another new character named Kumiko who appeared on the show the same week.
