David Wain on Making Movies: "The Lower the Budget, the More Fun It Is to Do"

"I feel like the circumstances of making a movie and the budget level and the spirit around the making of it can't help but show up onscreen … The lower the budget, the more fun it is to do, just because there's more freedom. Sometimes those obstacles spark creative solutions, and fun solutions. It just seems like there's an energy there."

- David Wain in an interview with The Dissolve about some of the films that have most impacted him at different points of his life, including Sleeper, Rambo, and Do the Right Thing.
