These Middle Schoolers’ Remake of the Original ‘Ghostbusters’ Trailer Proves That the Future Is Not Hopeless

A group of middle school film students at Massachusetts’ Raw Art Works art school made a shot-for-shot Ghostbusters trailer remake that was recently posted to Vimeo, and the result is an impressive and adorable indicator of what tomorrow’s comedy creators might bring to the table. While the remake trailer cheats by using some original film footage here and there, these kids’ vision of a gender-swapped Ghostbusters world where the main stars are tween girls and Sigourney Weaver’s part is played by a beanie-wearing dude is nothing short of genius.
