Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s AMC ‘Preacher’ Adaptation Gets a Pilot Order

preacher_comicBack in February it was announced that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were developing a television adaptation of the ’90s Garth Ennis comics series Preacher for AMC, and today Variety reports that the project has landed a pilot order. “Preacher has been our favorite comic since it first came out,” said Rogen and Goldberg in a statement. “Garth Ennis is one of our idols and it’s an incredible honor to be working on this. We promise we won’t make too many dick jokes and ruin it.” In addition to writing the script, Rogen and Goldberg will also direct the pilot and serve as co-executive producers alongside former Breaking Bad EP Sam Catlin. The pilot will be produced sometime next summer and be up for series consideration at AMC in 2016.
