Sarah Silverman on the Gender Wage Gap: “We Don’t Get What We Want, We Get What We Think We Deserve”

The wonderful Sarah Silverman recently teamed up with Levo for their #Ask4More campaign to reflect on her experience with wage inequality as a female comedian throughout the years. In the video, Silverman candidly looks back on one time she was paid $10 for the same standup gig that paid Todd Barry $60, and she even calls out the comedy club and owner who thought it was fine and not totally messed up to pay her less for the same work. “It was symbolic,” Silverman says. “I didn’t need $60, but you know, it’s pretty shitty.”
