‘Veep’ Creator/Showrunner Armando Iannucci to Leave After Season 4
Veep is losing its creator and showrunner. THR reports that Armando Iannucci has decided to leave his post as showrunner on Veep after four seasons, and former Curb Your Enthusiasm director/executive producer David Mandel has signed on to replace him. “We have had conversations with Armando for some time about the challenges of maintaining his family life in London and producing a show in the states,” a rep from HBO said in a statement. “Armando is not replaceable but we are confident that Veep will continue to be produced at the highest levels with new show runner, David Mandel.” Veep has not yet been officially renewed by HBO.
