Colin Jost’s Film ‘Staten Island Summer’ Is Headed to Netflix Next Month

According to The Wrap, the streaming network is currently finalizing a deal to release Staten Island Summer, a comedy written by SNL’s Colin Jost, produced by Lorne Michaels, and directed by Rhys Thomas. Loosely based on Jost’s days as a lifeguard growing up in New York, the film centers on Graham Phillips and Zack Pearlman as “best friends and recent high school graduates who decide to work as lifeguards during the summer while they figure out their future.” The film is loaded with appearances from tons of funny people like Bobby Moynihan, Cecily Strong, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, Jim Gaffigan, and more and hits Netflix on July 30th.
