A Remake of Chevy Chase’s 1980 Film ‘Oh! Heavenly Dog’ Is in the Works
Here’s a brand new project we can add to the pile of movie remakes currently in the works: According to THR, Fox 2000 is developing a remake of the 1980 comedy Oh! Heavenly Dog starring Chevy Chase, which centers on a private investigator who is killed, only to be reincarnated as a dog to solve his own murder. Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks, SpongeBob Squarepants) will direct and co-write the script with Dave Johnson. The project doesn’t yet have cast members attached. If you’re more of a cat person, not to worry — Kevin Spacey will transform into one in Nine Lives, which hits theaters next April.
