FX Orders Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K.’s ‘Better Things’ to Series
Pamela Adlon is headed to FX with some help from her friend and collaborator Louis C.K. According to Variety, the pay network has given a 10-episode series order to Better Things, which stars Adlon as “a single mother and working actress who is struggling to raise three daughters.” C.K. directed the pilot, and the series is part of his development deal with FX.
In addition to Adlon’s show, FXX also gave a series order to an animated series by Archer’s Adam Reed and Community/Modern Family writer Megan Ganz called Cassius and Clay, a “female buddy comedy set in the post-apocalyptic South” starring Kaitlin Olson and Lake Bell. Reed and Ganz will also serve as co-executive producers.
