truTV Orders Comedy Pilots Starring Jon Glaser and Naomi Ekperigin

naomi-ekperigintruTV just announced a round of new series and pilots, including comedies from Jon Glaser and Naomi Ekperigin. According to Variety, the network has handed out two series renewals (The Carbonaro Effect, Hack My Life), as well as three new unscripted shows: Almost Genius from April Richardson and Chris Fairbanks, 10 Things hosted by Girl Code’s Jamie Lee, and an eight-part look behind the scenes of “creating infamous comedy films” called Inside Iconic Comedy.

In addition to the renewals and new series, truTV also ordered two new comedy pilots. The first — titled Jon Glaser Loves Gear — was created by and stars Jon Glaser, who will “delve into his love of looking at gear, shopping for gear, wearing the gear and talking about gear.” Glaser will also executive produce alongside PFFR’s Vernon Chatman, John Lee, Alyson Levy. and Richard Korson. The second pilot, Inside Caucasia, is described as a “cultural travelogue” and is created by Naomi Ekperigin (Broad City and more recently Adam Ruins Everything) and former Pete Holmes Show writer Andy Beckerman. The series will follow Ekperigin as she “traverses the country to learn more about what makes Caucasians tick in a ‘post-racial’ America.” See below for more info and premiere dates via truTV’s press release:
