2016 WGA Award Nominees Include ‘Broad City,’ ‘Last Man on Earth,’ ‘BoJack Horseman,’ and More

ilana_undergroundThe Writers Guild of America announced its list of WGA Award nominees today, and among the comedy nominees are some new and returning series. The Comedy Series category has some stiff competition — Broad City, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Veep — and notably includes no broadcast network series. The Last Man on Earth, meanwhile, is the only major network show to get a New Series nom, while the Comedy/Variety Sketch category only has three nominees: SNL, Inside Amy Schumer, and Key and Peele.
