Adam McKay Is Developing a Border Control Comedy Starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly have another buddy comedy in the works. During a recent interview with Paul Thomas Anderson on The Director’s Cut podcast, McKay revealed that he’s developing a border control comedy with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly attached to star. “I’m actually talking with Ferrell and John C. Reilly about doing a comedy about two guys who go down to defend America’s borders against the immigrants, and I’m pretty excited about it,” he said. “We actually have Jesse Armstrong who wrote In The Loop—[he’s] delivering a draft, I think, next week.”
Ferrell and Reilly both have other comedy projects in the works — Ferrell stars alongside Amy Poehler in The House due out next year, and Reilly was just cast alongside Steve Coogan in the upcoming Laurel and Hardy biopic.
