Jack McBrayer Joins Matt Hubbard and Mike Schur’s NBC Comedy Pilot

jack_mcbrayer30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer might be returning to NBC soon for a new show. According to Deadline, McBrayer has been cast in Matt Hubbard’s untitled single-cam comedy pilot produced by Mike Schur, which NBC gave a production commitment last year. Chris Smith and Elizabeth Ho star in the pilot as “a happily married interracial couple whose lives take a turn when they move close to Josie’s family in Missouri.” McBrayer will play Gary, “the sycophantic chief instructor at the Tae Kwon Do Academy owned by Josie’s father Jae. Gary looks up to Jae as a father, and fears that Andrew may jeopardize his relationship with ‘Grandmaster Kim.'” McBrayer most recently appeared on The Middle and Todd Margaret and starred in his own Adult Swim series The Jack and Triumph Show. last year.
