Gad Elmaleh Tells Conan O’Brien About Moving from France to New York City

Here’s a clip from Gad Elmaleh’s visit to last night’s Conan, where he talks about his recent decision to leave superstar fame in Europe to move to New York to pursue a standup career in the US despite not being a known name here yet. He also made his US English language standup debut on the show and explained how since English isn’t his first language, doing standup in English can lead to awkward moments when chatting with audience members during his shows: “Last night in a club I was talking to a guy and a girl sitting front row and I said ‘How long have you been together?’ and he said ‘She’s my sister,’ and I was like ‘So, is the sex still good?'” Check it out below:
