Kevin Dorff and T.J. Jagodowski Enjoy Some Father/Son Bonding at The Second City in 1998

Welcome to The Second City Archives, in which we post an exclusive clip each week of some of comedy’s biggest superstars performing early in their careers on the legendary Chicago stage. Second City has generously given us a glimpse into their extensive archive of live performances, and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some rare and retro comedy never before seen on the web.

Father’s Day is right around the corner, so this week, Second City sent us the perfect clip from 1998’s revue The Psychopath Not Taken, which featured Kevin Dorff, T.J. Jagodowski, Susan Messing, Tami Sagher, Rich Talarico, and Stephnie Weir. In the above scene “Baseball,” Dorff and Jagodowski play a father and son attempting to enjoy some manly bonding at a baseball game, which leads to some long overdue words: “I love baseball too. Sorry if I haven’t said that sooner.” Watch another great father/son scene featuring Jason Sudeikis and Joe Kelly from a 2003 Second City show here.
