Paul F. Tompkins Plays ’70s NYC Nightclub Owner Claudio Luca on ‘The Late Show’

Last night on Late Show, Stephen Colbert debuted a brand new segment called “New York Tales,” and the first legendary NYC era he covered was the foam nightclub scene from the ’70s. The show was even lucky enough to interview Claudio Luca (Paul F. Tompkins), former owner of the most popular but extremely short-lived foam club at the time called Bubbles. “It was a crazy time, man,” he says. “A potent combination of designer drugs, dirt cheap foam, and a single unmarked exit.”
