‘The Late Show’ Will Cover the Democratic and Republican Conventions with Live Episodes Next Month
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is going live next month. According to Deadline, Colbert and his team will cover the Republican and Democratic conventions next month with two weeks of live episodes, which will run during the Republican convention in Cleveland from Monday, July 18th through Thursday the 21st, then during the Democratic convention in Philadelphia from Monday, July 25th through Thursday the 28th. Colbert will remain at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York for the live tapings, but Deadline reports the show will have “an on-site presence at both conventions” as well. Over at Comedy Central, The Daily Show also has convention coverage in the works and will tape episodes from both Cleveland and Philadelphia.
