The Duplass Brothers Are Working on Yet Another HBO Show

HBO may have cancelled the Duplass brothers short-lived sitcom, Togetherness, earlier this year, but they haven’t had enough of the writing/directing/sibling team yet — the network just ordered a full season of their new series, Room 104.

Set entirely within a single hotel, Room 104 will be an anthology of vignettes following guests who check in and out of the same room — like many of the Duplass brothers projects, a stunningly simple premise with endless opportunities for exploring the overlooked beauty and tragedy of everyday life.

Room 104 will join the pair’s animated comedy, Animals, currently in production on its second season; both are set to air in 2017.
