Dave Chappelle Joins Bradley Cooper’s ‘A Star Is Born’ Remake Starring Lady Gaga
Bradley Cooper is set to make his directorial debut in an upcoming remake of the 1937 film A Star Is Born, and the project just added another star to its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Chappelle has joined the cast of the film, which will star Lady Gaga and Cooper and also includes Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay, who has signed on to play the father of Gaga’s character, Lorenzo. Chappelle will play Noodles, “who is Cooper’s oldest friend with whom he started out playing with in blues clubs.” Chappelle just debuted two standup specials on Netflix back in March, and a third is set to premiere on the streaming network sometime later this year. A Star Is Born is slated to hit theaters on September 28, 2018.
