‘Late Night’ Writer Amber Ruffin Shares Some Tips on How to Not Laugh at Jeff Sessions

With the news that a woman now faces a year in prison for laughing during Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing back in January, during last night’s Late Night, Seth Meyers welcomed writer Amber Ruffin to share a few handy tips with the audience on how to not laugh at Jeff Sessions so no one else suffers the same fate. “Do not think to yourself that he looks like a Garbage Pail Kid named Plantation Nathan, or you will not be able to keep it together,” Ruffin says before pointing out that, if that doesn’t work, one thing will probably do the trick: “In 1986 a Senate committee denied Sessions a federal judgeship because he was deemed too racist.
