Kate McKinnon Brings Jeff Sessions and a Scottish Troll Named Colleen to ‘Late Night’

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers chats with SNL’s Kate McKinnon about her favorite member of the Trump administration to impersonate, who also happens to be the guy who testified yesterday: Jeff Sessions. McKinnon even reenacts some of yesterday’s hearing in character as Sessions, including his response to James Comey’s allegation that he had asked Sessions to keep Trump away from him. “The truth is, I didn’t hear him,” she says. “Now, this guy is about 6’8, and I had heard a sound above my head — I thought it was a cicada!” McKinnon also tells Meyers about a sketch she tried to get on SNL ten times with no luck about a Scottish troll named Colleen who wants a kiss, which would make a pretty great candidate for a new “Second Chance Theatre” segment: “She was a tour guide, but she was also a troll, but then she was the Prime Minister of Scotland, but then she was Susan Boyle, but then she was a bunch of other things. I tried, Seth!”
