Stephen Colbert Reenacts an Old Sketch with ‘Exit 57’ Superfan Matthew McConaughey

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Show, where Stephen Colbert sits down for a chat with Matthew McConaughey, who happens to be a huge fan of Colbert’s old sketch show Exit 57 – so much so that he has the show’s sketches memorized. “I religiously watched that show,” McConaughey says, telling Colbert that he’d “roll a funny cigarette” every week to watch it. “Guys, it’s hard to find but it’s worth the lookin’ for. This thing is great. It was on Comedy Central, 9:30, I believe it was on Sunday nights, ’94, ’95.” McConaughey gets the ultimate Exit 57 fan opportunity when he and Colbert team up to reenact an old sketch from the show — a personal favorite of McConaughey’s called “Forecast.” Watch the two reenact the sketch below:
