‘Full Frontal’ Showrunner/Head Writer Jo Miller Has Left the Show

miller-beeSome changes are happening behind the scenes at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. According to The Wrap, Full Frontal showrunner, executive producer, and head writer Jo Miller is no longer working at the late night show. TBS released the below statement about the news:

Jo is an incredibly talented writer who has played an invaluable role in the creation and success of the Full Frontal with Samantha Bee franchise over the past two years. We are grateful for her contributions and wish her continued success.

The reason for Miller’s departure hasn’t been officially announced, but a source told The Wrap that Miller was fired from the show, and Deadline is reporting that “recently there have [been] disagreements” between Miller and Bee. Miller has been with Full Frontal since it debuted on TBS in February 2016; prior to that she worked as a writer on The Daily Show. According to THR’s report about the change, Miller’s replacement is expected to be announced sometime “in the coming weeks.”
