Watch Chelsea Peretti, Shonali Bhowmik, Heather Lawless, and Andrea Rosen’s 2012 Adult Swim Pilot ‘Getting It Together’

If you’re looking for a temporary escape from all of the terrible news this week, look no further than the above video comedy group Variety Shac (Shonali Bhowmik, Heather Lawless, Andrea Rosen, and Chelsea Peretti) uploaded to YouTube this week. The group made the pilot, titled Getting It Together, for Adult Swim back in 2012 but it was ultimately not picked up to series. The premise for the show is equally simple and weird – “a show about four women at different crossroads in life who find themselves living in a tree house in the middle of Central Park” – and longtime Fallon head writer A.D. Miles directed the pilot. “I’m not sure why we didn’t share it earlier. We probably just needed time to reflect and also since that pilot was shot, all of us have been busy working on other projects,” Bhowmik told me about the decision to release the pilot. “But within the past year, we’ve been rebonding and talking about all the wonderful times we’ve had together. We have great pride in the work we created together and we just thought let’s share it NOW!”

Other rejected comedy pilots you should definitely check out if you haven’t already: Joe Pera and Conner O’Malley’s TruthHunters.com, Terror Team starring Aubrey Plaza, Guy Suave: Homicidal Spy starring Jay Johnston and Rich Fulcher, and Jason Woliner and Mark Proksch’s Good Morning Tri-State.
