‘The Opposition’s Jordan Klepper, Josh Sharp, and Aaron Jackson Are Very Excited About the ‘Roseanne’ Revival
ABC’s Roseanne reboot premiered this week and scored hugely in the ratings, and that’s something The Opposition’s Jordan Klepper, Josh Sharp, and Aaron Jackson are extremely pleased to hear. During last night’s show, Klepper welcomed Sharp and Jackson to run through some more possible conservative reboots of classic sitcoms now that Roseanne is a success, including Seinfeld, Perfect Strangers, The Cosby Show (“It’s the same show, we just know what we know now”), and even Louie (“It’s the same show, we just know what we know now”).
“Conservatives can relate to Roseanne. In real life she’s a down-to-earth Trump supporter. She gets middle America. She’s even a farmer — or more specifically, the humble owner of a million-dollar macadamia nut plantation in Hawaii. She’s the salted nuts of the earth,” Klepper says. “The future looks bright — and very similar to 1988!” As for why Trump called Roseanne to congratulate her on her ratings but hasn’t commented on the Sacramento police killing of Stephon Clark, an unarmed black man, Klepper explains: “What the left doesn’t get is that President Trump called Roseanne because she had huge ratings. This police shooting just didn’t make enough noise, probably because the cops had muted their body cameras. So let’s leave this local story to the local authorities. The president has television to watch!”
