Reminder: Tonight's 'Community' Was Written by Oscar Winner Jim Rash

This is just a reminder that Jim Rash, who plays weirdo Dean Pelton on Community AND won an Oscar last year for co-writing The Descendants, wrote tonight's episode of Community. The episode, entitled "Basic Human Anatomy," involves Troy and Abed in a body switching adventure, while Annie and Shirley plot against class valedictorian Leonard. This is the first and only episode of the show that Jim Rash has written, and it's also the first and only episode of Community to be written by an Oscar winner – unless Tarantino or Sofia Coppola want to have a crack at a hypothetical Season 5 episode.

This Week's 'Nathan For You' Is Insane

Comedy Central's new series Nathan For You has quickly become one of the funniest shows on TV, and this week's new episode (airing Thursday at 10:30) is the funniest and most daring episode host Nathan Fielder has done yet. It's a very special episode called "Claw of Shame," and it's a great place to jump into TV's best new comedy if you haven't given it a chance yet.

'Portlandia' One-Hour Special to Air on July 20

IFC will air a one-hour Portlandia special on July 20 at 11pm. Entitled Portlandia: The Brunch Special, the special will show the making of "Brunch Village", the finale of season two. Expect a lot of wig discussion. The special will proceeded by a mixtape marathon. "What's a mixtape marathon?" Thanks for asking. It's four-hour marathon, in which the fans get to vote which episodes get aired. Hmmm, the problem is once these episodes get voted as most popular they'll instantly be "over."
