Compare Each SNL Season's Originality and Recurring Characters

Oh my goodness gracious me. Vulture has watched all of the sketches in all of the episodes of all of the seasons of SNL and made this chart of which seasons were the most full of recurring characters. Here's hoping this season busts through the top of the chart once they decide to turn the show into The Stefon Hour featuring Stefon in 20 different scenes. Wise up, people! It's happening! The Stefon Hour is coming.

Conan O'Brien Rules the Internet, Provided You Ignore His Main Competitors

This chart from Trendrr claims that Conan O'Brien was "by far the most-talked about late night talk show in social media last month." OK. But as you can see, they didn't track the two most popular late-night shows amongst 18-34 year olds, the folks most likely to be using social media: The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. So while I guess it's interesting to see how much more chatter there is about Coco than Leno, Letterman et al., it seems a little disingenuous to make the claim that he's the most talked about name in late night.
