Here's the first clip from the CW network's Whose Line Is It Anyway? revival, featuring Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, a song by Wayne Brady, and your new host Aisha Tyler. On July 16th, short-form improv will be back on TV, everybody!

Attention Nielsen Families, 'Happy Endings' Returns Tonight

After being left off the schedule for two months, ABC's critically-acclaimed but ratings-starved comedy Happy Endings returns tonight. The network will be airing back-to-back new episodes of the show from 8 to 9 for the next five weeks. Last week, ABC began promoting the show with a "Save Happy Endings" campaign, which isn't the best sign, but executive producer Jonathan Groff told THR he remains optimistic. "The obvious thing of it is … this is a corporate entity, which has the power to keep us on the air, making a promo asking itself to keep us on the air. But, they knew that. I think behind it, there's [...]

Catch Your First Glimpse of the Arsenio Hall Comeback

This summer, Arsenio Hall announced he's returning to TV for another late night talk show that'll be syndicated on 17 stations across the nation and begin airing next year. Here's a promo for the new show, which is coming a bit soon because the show isn't set to debut until September 2013. And of course, the promo features a lot of woof woof woof-ing. For our younger readers, Arsenio Hall is Eddie Murphy's best friend who hosted The Arsenio Hall Show, a popular syndicated late night talk show from 1989 to 1994, that's best known for its audience members pumping their fists and enthusiastically shouting "Woof woof woof!" [...]

They're Making an 'ALF' Movie Because…?

What did you expect, Hollywood not to make an ALF movie? Sony has acquired the rights and is developing it to be a part CG-part live action feature. The man who spearheaded the piece of smurf Smurf movie, which made over $500 million worldwide (which is a terrifying fact), will oversee the whole thing with the show's original creator, making sure a real classic is made. No writer or director is attached yet. They're probably going to need all the gold on Melmac to convince someone to jump on this "hot" property.

Dazzlin' Tony Danza Set to Make His Return to Television

Danza! In the immortal words of Ladies Love Cool James, "Don't call it a comeback, Danza's been here for years, but now he's going to be more here because he's set to star in a new, Vince Vaughn produced television show that is soon to be picked up by ABC " (More like Ladies Love Cool Albeit Overly Verbose James, amirite? Noiamnot). The multi-camera sitcom, currently operating under the working title The Guys, is about three old friends (old as in their age and length of time they've been friends) who decide to move in together into a bachelor pad near their respective families. In addition, it was [...]

Rick Moranis Has a New Album Out Soon

Beloved comedian Rick Moranis is resurfacing to release a new album. The actor announced on his website, RickMoranis.com, that he's recorded an album called My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs that you'll be able to pre-order from the site on May 21st. After retiring from the movie industry in the late '90s, this is the first we've seen of Moranis since he released his Grammy-nominated album The Agoraphobic Cowboy in 2005. After Moranis's wife tragically died from cancer in 1991, he stepped away from his movie career a few years later, later explaining, "I'm a single parent, and I just found that it was too [...]

Watch Ricky Gervais's New Short Starring David Brent from 'The Office'

When Ricky Gervais announced last month that he was reviving his Office character David Brent for a new short film, it seemed like an iffy proposition that could tarnish the legacy of the classic show. But it turns out the 10-minute short, entitled "The Return of Brent," is actually pretty good. It picks up with Brent 10 years after The Office's Christmas special finale to find him working in a new career as a rap producer. The short aired on the BBC during Comic Relief's Red Nose Day Friday and is the first piece of original content to debut on Gervais's YouTube channel. Although Gervais reprised his [...]

Michael Richards Is Returning to Acting for Kirstie Alley's TV Land Pilot

It's been over a decade since Michael Richards's last regular TV gig (on his short-live NBC vehicle The Michael Richards Show), but he's returning to acting to co-star with Kirstie Alley in her new TV Land pilot Giant Baby, Deadline reports. In the show, Kirstie Alley plays a Broadway star dealing with her long-lost son (Eric Petersen) coming back into her life. Alley's former Cheers costar Rhea Perlman will play her assistant and best friend, while Michael Richards will be her limo driver. It's great to see Richards returning to the spotlight after spending so much time away. He was funny in an arc as himself on Curb [...]

Arsenio Hall Is Coming Back to Late Night. Will People Care?

Arsenio Hall, the king of Woof Woof Woofing on late night TV from 1989-1994, is set to Woof his way back into America's hearts with a brand new late night show. Like his original Arsenio Hall Show, it'll be produced by CBSTVD and syndicated, meaning it'll be on different channels depending on where you live. Right now the plan has it set to "launch on 17 stations including WPIX New York and KTLA Los Angeles at 11 p.m. and WGN Chicago at 10 p.m." Expect it to debut early next year.

The real question is whether or not people are still interested in Arsenio, or the late night [...]

Netflix Is Trying To Bring Back Reno 911!

You know that scene in The Miracle Worker where Helen Keller finally understands sign language and is spinning around and flailing with pure confusion and joy while Anne Bancroft loses her shit? That's where I'm at after reading the news that we might have new Reno 911! episodes in our future, if Netflix has anything to say about it. Vulture reports that the show's producers Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher have been in talks with Netflix about the Reno's possible return, though co-creators Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, and Kerri Kenney-Silver haven't signed haven't signed anything yet. But that's just a formality, right? Because it's coming [...]

Dave Chappelle: "I Don't Need to Come Back, but Why Not?"

The NY Times' Jason Zinoman traveled to San Francisco to watch Dave Chappelle do a secret stand-up gig and wrote a piece about it. This is all in the wake of Chappelle doing two shows in NYC with Chris Rock, spurring speculation about a comeback. Chappelle talked about making a comeback twice during the SF show but didn't get too specific, so maybe he's plotting something big.

'GQ' Says 'SNL' Is Making a Comeback (Even Though It's Been Good for a Long Time Now)

John Surico over at GQ has a new piece declaring this a comeback year for SNL. Apparently, he believes the show has been in some sort of slump since 2010 that's it's breaking out of now, which is silly because the past two years have been far, far from a low point. Still, the piece is a testament to what a great period the show's in now, with the writer saying the keys to the show's "newfound" success are a talented hosts, a strong batch of incoming cast members (singling out Kate McKinnon), and Jay Pharoah's Obama. It's worth a read, even if the guy's entire premise is faulty.

'Anger Management' and Charlie Sheen's Managed Anger

Last year, Charlie Sheen's professional and personal meltdown quickly went from comical to cause for serious concern, though probably not quick enough. Adweek reported on how Sheen and FX are planning his comeback from this breakdown. For Sheen, his new show represents a chance to both distance himself from his vats of tiger blood and that shitty sitcom he used to be on. Sheen told FX President John Landgraf,  “I don’t want Two and a Half Men to be my legacy. I want to do something that I can be really proud of on every level—creatively and personally.” In particular, he aspires the portrayal of women to be more fully [...]
