This Year's Woodstock Comedy Festival to Feature Colin Quinn, 'A Night at Whiplash,' and More

The second annual Woodstock Comedy Festival is set to take place this month from the 19th through the 21st, and the festival just announced its full schedule and lineup of shows, panels, and films. Splitsider's own comedy documentary A Night at Whiplash will screen on Sunday followed by a Q&A with director Leo Allen, producer Jeremy Levenbach, and executive producers/directors of photography Vincent Peone and Josh Ruben, and Colin Quinn's Colin Quinn: Once Upon a Time in New York will headline the festival Saturday the 20th at 7:30pm. Larry David, Wanda Sykes, Bill Burr, and More to Play New York Comedy Fest 2013

The New York Comedy Festival is turning 10 this year, and they're drawing some pretty big names this time around. The organizers behind the fest, which is produced in association with Comedy Central, announced the 2013 lineup yesterday. Larry David is set to engage in a one-on-one conversation with comedy vet David Steinberg, who hosts the Showtime interview series Inside Comedy. The roster also features Wanda Sykes, Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Anthony Jeselnik, Nick Swardson, Whitney Cummings, Kathy Griffin, Jim Jefferies, and Bill Maher, who will be playing at the festival's prestigious venues like Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall, the Theater at Madison Square Garden, and Town Hall. The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival Announces Its 2014 Lineup

The seventh annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival is set to take place at The Bell House and Union Hall in Brooklyn next month from September 18-22, and the full lineup was just announced. In addition to the return of Mirman's Pretty Good Friends show and two live recordings of the StarTalk Live! podcast with Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye, a bunch of performers and comedy people are slated to show up including H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Che, Michelle Wolf, Jon Glaser, Jessi Klein, Wyatt Cenac, Robyn Hitchcock, Nick Thune, and more.

Eugene Mirman's comedy festival, aptly titled Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, just announced its 2013 lineup, and it's full of great comedians as usual. The Brooklyn- based festival is set to include comedians like Kristen Schaal, Jim Gaffigan, Wyatt Cenac, Jon Benjamin, Kurt Braunohler, Michael Che, and Leo Allen, along with the return of long-running show Invite Them Up and the New York return of Hot Tub, which Schaal and Braunohler brought to LA last year. Several months ago, Jack Black and Kyle Gass, members of the comedy-rock band Tenacious D, announced that they're gathering all the biggest names in comedy music for a big Los Angeles concert called Festival Supreme. This morning, Black and Gass announced details and the lineup, which is insanely impressive, via the Festival Supreme website. The all-day festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, will feature 25 different comedians on four separate stages on the Santa Monica Pier, with Tenacious D hosting shows at various stages throughout the day. Tenacious D's 2014 Festival Supreme Will Feature a Crazy Number of Awesome Comedy Acts

The 2014 lineup of Tenacious D's comedy rock event Festival Supreme was announced today, and it includes a ton of famous funny people. Currently set to appear in the festival — which is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th in Los Angeles — are The State, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, the Workaholics crew, Norm Macdonald, Maria Bamford, Scott Aukerman, Jenny Slate, Eric Andre, Bo Burnham, and many more. Moontower Fest Disinvites Matt Braunger for Performing at Competing SXSW

There's a rivalry brewing in Austin, Texas, between two spring comedy fests: The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival and South by Southwest's (SXSW) comedy festival. Well, it's a bit of a one-sided rivalry, as second-year festival Moontower prohibits comedians who perform there from performing at SXSW Comedy, which is currently in its sixth year, while SXSW is perfectly okay with comedians from Moontower doing shows there. Stand-up Matt Braunger (Up All Night, MADtv) has been caught between the two competing festivals, as Moontower has made an example of him by disinviting him after he agreed to perform at both festivals.
