Hannibal Buress Is Getting a Comedy Central Pilot and Co-Starring in 'Broad City'

You're going to be seeing a lot of Hannibal Buress on Comedy Central in the coming years. The cable network announced today they've signed a deal with Buress, a popular stand-up and former writer for 30 Rock and SNL,  to star in and executive produce his own pilot. He'll also be playing a recurring role on the upcoming Comedy Central show Broad City, starring/created by Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer and based on their web series of the same name. Paul Feig Signs a Deal to Develop Comedies for Fox

Bridesmaids director and Freaks and Geeks creator Paul Feig just signed a new first-look deal with 20th Century Fox to develop comedies for the studio, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 'Modern Family' Director/Producer Jason Winer Signs a New TV Deal with Fox

Emmy-winner Jason Winer, who produces Modern Family and is the show's former house director, just signed a new three-year deal with 20th Century Fox TV, Deadline reports. Winer has also directed episodes of New Girl, Don't Trust the B, and is writing and directing for the upcoming NBC First Family sitcom 1600 Penn, which stars Josh Gad, Bill Pullman, and Jenna Elfman and debuts January 10th. 'Up All Night' Creator Emily Spivey Finds a New Home at Fox

Emily Spivey, the creator of NBC's troubled sitcom Up All Night who left the show last month, has already found a new gig at Fox. Spivey signed a  two-year deal with 20th Century Fox to develop new series and work on existing Fox shows. The deal brings Spivey home to Fox, where she began her career as a writer for MADtv and King of the Hill in 2001 before spending a decade on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey's '30 Rock' Co-Showrunner Jack Burditt Signs a Two-Year Deal with NBC

30 Rock stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin signed new deals with NBC earlier this year, and now, Fey's co-showrunner at the long-running series, Jack Burditt, has renewed his contract too, Deadline reports. Burditt has signed a two-years deal with Universal, which will keep him at the network after 30 Rock's series finale next month. Rashida Jones and Writing Partner Will McCormack Sign a Two-Year TV Deal

Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack just signed a two-year development deal with Warner Bros. Television. As writers, the duo is best known for penning the screenplay to the movie Celeste & Jesse Forever, starring Jones and Andy Samberg, which premiered at Sundance last year and received generally positive reviews. In addition to the Warner Bros. deal, Jones and McCormack are writing the movie version of Jones's graphic novel miniseries Frenemy of the State, about a 20something socialite working undercover for the CIA. NBC Is Keeping Alec Baldwin Around a Little While Longer

Alec Baldwin just signed a new two-year deal with Universal TV that will keep him at NBC a little while after 30 Rock ends its run on January 31st. Deadline reports that the deal will involve Baldwin, who's also a producer on 30 Rock, developing and producing TV shows, one of which might be a starring vehicle for himself.
