Pre-Order DC Pierson's New Book Now and He'll Rap about You

DC "The Son of the Piers" Pierson aka the member of Derrick Comedy with the most total hair has finished his second novel, entitled Crap Kingdom. He explained the book thusly:

Comedians Be Writing Memoirs

For the New York Times, Jason Zinoman writes about the post-Bossypants world of comedian memoirs, which I assume is in honor of the recently launched Splitsider Comedy Book Club. Mentioned are the new-ish books by Mindy Kaling, Rachel Dratch, Lizz Winstead, and Michael Ian Black. Zinoman argues they very in their balance of humor and candidness, but generally everyone loves Amy Poehler. Yeah, Amy Poehler-love is a must for every book.

Have you ever had that moment when you see Bill Murray doing something awesome, like run around the bases during a rain delay, and think, "I wish I could color that guy in right now?" No? New Chris Elliott Autobiography Out in October

Chris Elliott has written an unauthorized biography about himself that is described as a "behind-the-scenes memoir so personal, so provocative, that Elliott nearly sued himself to halt publication." Entitled, The Guy Under the Sheets, this is Elliott's fourth mostly fictional biography. The perfect jacket, however, does exclaim the book is "(practically) TRUE!" which might make it the most true of his books. It comes out on October 11th but you can pre-order it today. This shocking, sultry, damp book will make a great gift for… Halloween(?).
