Adam Scott and Jon Hamm Team Up for Adult Swim’s ‘Greatest Event in Television History’

Good-looking funny guys and real-life bros Adam Scott and Jon Hamm are starring alongside each other in a mysterious 15-minute Adult Swim special, called The Greatest Event in Television History, premiering at midnight on October 11th. Scott co-directed the special with Lance Bangs (Loiter Squad, Jackass) and offered this cryptic explanation to Entertainment Weekly: “We are reconstructing a piece of television history.” Scott has been mum about exactly which classic TV moment he’s remaking for the special, but he has tweeted out three pictures (see below) which don’t make things any less confusing. Here’s hoping it’s an elaborate green-screen re-enactment of those “Whassup?” beer ads.

Journey through Mick Napier's Paradigm Lost Show Journal

Inspired by the Second City memories in Tina Fey's Bossypants, Rob Kozlowski mined for and found Mick Napier's Paradigm Lost online show journal, preserved for posterity in all it's mid-to-late nineties glory. Detailing his directorial experience from November 1996 until the show's open in February 1997, Napier writes about working with cast members Fey, Rachel Dratch, Scott Adsit, Kevin Dorff, Jenna Jolovitz and Jim Zulevic. When not physically at rehearsal, Napier edits loops of "It's a Small World After All" and shifts through 50 constantly evolving scenes in his quest to form a coherent revue, a show which he enthuses is the first mainstage show of its [...]
