It's Official: Dan Harmon Is Coming Back to 'Community'

After being fired from his own show by the studio last May, Dan Harmon is coming back to Community. Reports have been circulating for weeks now that the ousted showrunner has been negotiating a deal to return, but Harmon confirmed these rumors himself via Twitter this weekend. After joking about his plans to return, Harmon was asked by a fan if he was really returning, and he replied, "Yes yes yes! I'm back I'm back I'm back. You can thank @joelmchale."

Michael Scott Isn't Planning Any Return Trips to Scranton

In response to the idea of guest-starring on The Office, Steve Carell said:

No, it hasn't been discussed. Do you really think that people want to see Michael Scott again? I think the people who say they want to see Michael Scott reappear would be ultimately slightly disappointed. I think you always wish for something that you don't sincerely want to come true. Steve Carell Not Likely to Return for the 'Office' Finale

When The Office says goodbye this May, it looks like Michael Scott won't be joining in on the farewell. NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt revealed to reporters this weekend that the long-lasting Peacock sitcom will close out its nine-season run with a one-hour finale in May but that there are no plans to involve Steve Carell because Carell is satisfied with his character's exit from the show two years ago in the seventh season episode "Goodbye, Michael." Jimmy Kimmel Is Coming Back to Brooklyn

Brooklyn-born comedian Jimmy Kimmel is bringing his talk show to his hometown, hosting it from the Brooklyn Academy of Music for one week, from Oct. 29th to Nov. 2 right during the launch of the Brooklyn Nets' new season. Kimmel has some big-name East Coast guest stars lined up, including David Letterman, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Tracy Morgan.
