Watch Tina Fey Bring Her Sarah Palin Impression Back on 'Inside the Actor's Studio'

Here's Tina Fey on Inside the Actor's Studio earlier this week, with James Lipton interviewing her as Sarah Palin. This is the first time Fey has done the impression since guest starring on an SNL episode two years ago, but it's really a testament to her incredible improv abilities that she can just slip back into it and give such incredibly funny responses to Lipton's questions. I could watch James Lipton talk to Tina Fey's Sarah Palin for the entire hour.

Watch Jason Sudeikis Do as Many Impressions as He Can in Under a Minute

Here's Jason Sudeikis on Ellen yesterday, being challenged to do as many impressions as he can in under a minute. Considering that Ellen slows him down significantly by trying to guess before he can move on to the next impression, 7 is a super respectable score for under a minute. It's like watching a weird teenager try to do a bunch of impressions in a row on YouTube, only Sudeikis is actually talented and you don't have to watch him do Stewie from Family Guy.

Kenan and Fallon Have a Cosby-Off

Ok, it was less a contest and more Fallon just taking over and doing his impression for 20% of Kenan's interview. That being said he does have a very good and thorough impression. But Kenan doesn't care; he's been on TV for 19 years, since he was a kid and Jimmy was a kid and everyone was a kid. Also, it seemed like he was just waiting for his chance to sing a Tom Jones song. Watch him singing and dancing below, as well as the aforementioned Chris Farley cake sketch from All That. Remember when people described things as "all that?" What a dumb thing to be nostalgic for [...]

Fred Armisen Will Co-Host Next Week's 'This American Life' as Ira Glass

Quirky public radio program This American Life will have a very special guest this weekend: Fred Armisen as Ira Glass. The episode's theme is "doppelgängers," and Armisen will be co-hosting with the real Ira Glass for the entire hour. You can listen to it tomorrow afternoon on the radio via your local NPR affiliate or download it Sunday in podcast form. According to This American Life's website, Armisen developed his Ira Glass impression for Saturday Night Live but never used it on the show after deciding "the public radio personality isn't quite famous enough to be mocked on network TV." Why didn't he do it on Portlandia then, [...]

Ellen Degeneres Likes Kate McKinnon's Impression of Her on 'SNL'

Here's Ellen Degeneres discussing and playing clips of Saturday Night Live's recent Ellen parody on an episode of her show. Degeneres is a good sport about the whole thing and seems to be fond of cast member Kate McKinnon's impression of her. It's only a matter of time before the two are dancing together side by side, whether it be on SNL or on Ellen.

James Adomian Does Huell Howser for Funny or Die

Comedian James Adomian has been doing a super funny impression of constantly-baffled PBS travel show host Huell Howser for years now, most notably on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast and TV show. Now, he's teamed up with Funny or Die to make a series of faux-episodes of Howser's series California's Gold, which are funny whether you're familiar with Huell Howser's work or not.

Jay Pharoah to Take Over Obama this Season on 'SNL'

Lorne Michaels told The New York Times: “Jay has been doing Obama in his act this summer, and Jay is coming into his own…I just thought it might be time to shake it up.” And so it was written. People have been clamoring for Pharoah to take over that role since he was first cast; however, the famously deliberate Michaels wanted to make sure he was ready for that VERY prominent role. Sure, Pharoah can be very accurate but the question was always: Can he make him a character, can he make him funny? The article also reveals that Taran Killam is the likely choice for Paul Ryan. [...]
